Organic groups in drupal 7

The successor of Organic Groups modules is just called "group" (http://drupal.org/project/group).

The main new features are group roles and group permissions. Longly awaited functionality if you ask me. Can't wait to play with it.
Per group you can create roles, and assign permissions to those roles. And people can have different roles for each group.

2 recente drupal ontdekkingen:

http://drupal.org/project/plugin_manager. Superhandig om je modules up-to-date te houden. Helaas alleen voor Drupal 6.

http://drupal.org/project/drupalforfirebug. Onmisbaar (vanaf nu) om drupal sites te maken. Het levert onmiddelijk veel informatie over de drupal pagina's die je ziet.

For anyone who wants to learn more about Java is http://www.javapassion.com the perfect spot.

It has quite a few java courses completely online. With extended descriptions, good concept explanations and lots of code examples. You can register to it and get a certificate per course, but that is not required.

The courses are given by Sang Shin, a Sun Microsystem employee.

The courses are from Java beginner to advanced Spring and even a side step to Ruby on Rails.

The used programming environment is Netbeans, which is also my favorite.

Voor iedereen die zich wil blijven bijscholen in Java is http://www.javapassion.com de perfecte plek.

Daarop staan vele java cursussen volledig online. Met uitgebreide beschrijvingen, concept verklaringen en voorbeeldcode. Je hoeft je niet eens in te schrijven.

Het is gemaakt door Sang Shin, een Sun Microsystem werknemer.

De cursussen gaan van Java beginner tot Spring voor gevorderden. Er is ook een uitstapje naar Ruby on Rails aanwezig.

De gebruikte programmeeromgeving is Netbeans. Toevallig ook mijn favoriet.

This is the first blog on the english version of my site

The design has not changed much, the tech part a lot.

It's my first drupal 6 site (after several drupal 5 sites).

1 of my most used modules http://drupal.org/project/signwriter was not available yet for Drupal 6, so I made it.
