The successor of Organic Groups modules is just called "group" (http://drupal.org/project/group).

The main new features are group roles and group permissions. Longly awaited functionality if you ask me. Can't wait to play with it.
Per group you can create roles, and assign permissions to those roles. And people can have different roles for each group.

I made a drupal update script for ubuntu which uses ftp to update drupal sites (not everyone has ssh yet).

It doesn't have all the functionality yet I would like it to have, but it functions for updating.

This script may help you to update multiple drupal sites faster then you'd otherwise be capable of.

--Install--
To use it unzip the attachment. It has the drupalupdate.csh and directories d5 and d6.

For drupal core updating get the latest core version, unpack it, place it in d5 or d6 and rename the dir "drupal-x.y" to "core".

A blog used to be a longer, better written article for me.

But what about the in-between length (and the not-so-well written) articles?
Is a blog suitable for that?

For anyone who wants to learn more about Java is http://www.javapassion.com the perfect spot.

It has quite a few java courses completely online. With extended descriptions, good concept explanations and lots of code examples. You can register to it and get a certificate per course, but that is not required.

The courses are given by Sang Shin, a Sun Microsystem employee.

The courses are from Java beginner to advanced Spring and even a side step to Ruby on Rails.

The used programming environment is Netbeans, which is also my favorite.

The design has not changed much, the tech part a lot.

It's my first drupal 6 site (after several drupal 5 sites).
